Wood Chipping

Wood chipping is an efficient and sustainable way to process branches, brush, and other woody debris generated from tree work. Instead of sending valuable organic material to the wood dump, we chip it on-site, turning it into a versatile resource that can be reused in your landscape. We see wood chipping not just as waste management, but as part of a closed-loop system that keeps nutrients cycling within the local environment and maintains biomass in our community.

One of the best uses for wood chips is as mulch. Applied around trees, shrubs, or garden beds, wood chip mulch helps conserve soil moisture, suppress weeds, regulate soil temperature, and feed the soil as it slowly breaks down. This natural decomposition process builds healthy soil structure and encourages beneficial microbial activity, reducing the need for petro-chemical fertilizers. We can leave your chips neatly in a pile for you to use, spread them where needed, or haul them away to be repurposed elsewhere.

Wood chipping also plays a role in permaculture design, where materials from the land are reused and returned to where they began. In a permaculture approach, wood chips might be used to build pathways, improve rainwater infiltration, or create “hugelkultur” beds that store water and nutrients for long-term plant growth. By choosing to utilise your wood chips, you are investing in both the health of your property and the resilience of the local ecosystem.
